ABOUT ARTANOID

Artanoid is a Flash remake of the original classic arcade game Arkanoid. It was created by 76 Creative web design studio.

Complete each level to reveal a different fine art masterpiece, while enjoying a library music soundtrack and old-school arcade sound effects. You can use the arrow keys and spacebar or the mouse to play.

HOMAGE TO THE ORIGINAL

The original Arkanoid arcade game was released in 1986 by Taito. It was based on Atari's Breakout games of the 1970s, whereby blocks must be destroyed to advance up a level. The title refers to a doomed "mothership" from which the "Vaus" (the player's controller) escapes.

Because of the game's popularity, five other versions of the game were developed for the market: Tournament Arkanoid (1987) and Revenge of Doh (Arkanoid II) (1987), BS Arkanoid - Doh It Again (1997) and Arkanoid Returns (1997), and Arkanoid DS (2007).
